Christine Brand - "Natural Transcendence”

Opening reception: Friday Nov 6 from 6-9PM

Throughout the Gallery: Continued Group Exhibition of CSUCI Students, Alumni and Faculty

Christine Brand's paintings focus on taking small aspects of nature and capturing the beauty that was perhaps overlooked or unseen at first glance.Through her hyper-realist painting style, the work magnifies the subject matter as the paintings transcend realism approaching the point of becoming lyrical abstraction. Intriguing colors and shapes found in nature inspire Christine's painting process of blending the pigment on the canvas to create richness and depth. Her inspiration is as much about the process of painting as it is about her profound connection with nature.
